The Parkland Doctors – A Look Inside the ER During JFK’s Final Moments

The Parkland Doctors - John F. Kennedy

From the moment shots rang out on November 22, 1963 when the beloved and respected thirty-fifth President of the United States was gunned down as the world looked on in horror, people from all walks of life have been trying to make sense of what happened. Perhaps no one had as personal and detailed an experience with the tragedy as the doctors who were on duty in Trauma Room 1 at Parkland Hospital on that fateful day.

Behind the closed doors of the Parkland Hospital ER, a group of seven young doctors sprang into action in a valiant attempt to save John F. Kennedy’s fleeting life. The Parkland Doctors is a ground-breaking documentary which provides the eyewitness account of JFK’s last moments of life as told by the very doctors who were in the emergency room together in the moments following the assassination.

For the first time since 11/22/63, seven of the Parkland doctors have come together to candidly share their experience. Unlike the countless other documentaries that have been produced about JFK’s assassination, most of which include speculation, opinion and conspiracy theories, The Parkland Doctors provides real-life insight from those who were directly involved.

Essentially, this film will serve as a missing puzzle piece in history, shedding new light on what really happened that day, as well as many of the events that inevitably followed. Viewers can watch and listen as the seven now-seasoned and highly respected doctors discuss everything from their efforts to resuscitate the president to the palpable fear they all felt on that day. Learn how what they saw correlates to the findings of the autopsy, the Warren Commission Report, the House Select Committee on Assassinations and much more.

The producers of this documentary piece are seeking financial backing through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to complete the film. Supporters of the campaign can help to bring this story to life in the cinemas, on TV and on digital platforms worldwide. In addition to financial support, the filmmakers are also urging people to become activists and advocate for the truth.

The Parkland Doctors is a fiscally sponsored project of the International Documentary Association (IDA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As such, donations are tax deductible. The film is being produced independently and every dollar raised by the campaign will go directly towards completing the film. Their goal is to reach $50,000 in funding. Donors can choose their level of support, each of which provide certain perks that range from social media shout-outs to recognition in the film credits to VIP tickets to the premier and more.

For those who cannot financially contribute, the filmmakers are asking for assistance getting the word out about the campaign through social media sharing. The more recognition the project gets, the sooner it can be successfully funded and completed. The targeted date for the film premier is November 22, 2015 which will commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the assassination.
